GLASS WORLD HISTORY

2007 (Launching)

Since 2007 Glass World has launched its first edition, in Cairo – Egypt, as the first glass exhibition in Africa and MENA Region exploring the glass industry in these emerging markets.
Glass World in its first launch in 2007 had invited some multinational glass enterprises to attend the event.
The target from this invitation was attracting their attention to the importance of glass market in Africa and MENA Region.

 
2008 (2nd)

As a result, in 2008 Saint Gobain had established its first float glass line in Africa and MENA Region in Egypt at Ein Sokhna area in the Red Sea Area.

 
2009 (3rd)

PPG & Citadel Holding established Sphinx Glass to be the second float glass line in Egypt at Sadat City.
In reference to this Egypt comprise three big float glass lines instead of only one before Glass World launch in 2007.

 
2009 - 2010 (3rd – 4th)

Glass World had contributed in a significant increase in the number of glass factories in Egypt, MENA Region and Africa.
Glass World didn't only end on this stage but had contributed as well in modernization of many glass factories in Egypt, MENA Region and Africa, As a result, the glass production capacity has been significantly increased in Egypt, MENA Region and Africa as well as the quality has been improved.
Glass World helped Egyptians, MENA Region's and African glass factories to set new directions and guidelines for their future development.
Glass World helped them to penetrate and reach new markets out of their domestic borders.
This Has Been Stated By Egyptian Glass Market Leaders.
